(RepublicanNews.org) – Political power can turn on a dime. One day a politician is on top of the world, and the next day they’re seeking new employment. New York’s Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s recent fall from grace appears destined to end with his eventual ouster — or worse.
The three-term governor faces mounting accusations of sexual harassment brought against him by three former aides and four other women. Debra Katz, the lawyer for one of Cuomo’s accusers, told reporters her client met with investigators for “more than four hours” on Monday, March 15.

Katz also reported that her client, Charlotte Bennett, provided them with documentary evidence and other “contemporaneous records” corroborating her accusations against Cuomo and senior staff members.
State Attorney General Letitia James appointed a former US Attorney for the Southern District of New York and an employment discrimination lawyer to head up a special investigation into the allegations on March 8. New York State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie (D-Bronx) recently announced the initiation of an Assembly impeachment inquiry.
Cuomo has denied the allegations and refuses to step down in the wake of mounting calls for his resignation. We will keep you updated as events unfold in this breaking story.
