(RepublicanNews.org) – Donald Trump and others have been calling out Big Tech for its efforts to muzzle conservative voices. Things got so bad that Facebook’s CEO admitted to conspiring with other companies.
Social media sites have placed Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and other Republicans who challenged Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory under heightened scrutiny in recent weeks.
Wanting to shed light on those efforts, Hawley published an article in the New York Post on January 24, saying it’s high time Conservatives pushed back against leftist efforts to cancel their voices.

Predictably, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), also known as AOC, attacked him on Twitter, saying he wasn’t being muzzled. Instead, she claimed he was “deeply unpopular” and needed to resign.
However, there’s no doubt social media companies have targeted Conservatives. Facebook and Twitter both admitted to their censorship efforts through public posts and press releases. Additionally, several leading Conservatives have lost their accounts, including Donald Trump.
Hawley clearly has a legitimate complaint about censorship. Perhaps it’s time for Congress to begin working to eliminate legal protections for online media companies.
