Biden Adviser Unwilling to Focus on Negatives Aspects of Policies

(RepublicanNews.org) – Joe Biden campaigned on a promise to reimagine the American economy and to create “millions” of jobs to give working-class Americans the tools they need to create a better life. In reality, he’s already axed thousands of jobs through executive actions like his January 20 executive order revoking the permit to construct and operate the Keystone XL pipeline.

Now his administration is attempting to raise the national minimum wage to $15, a move the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says could raise about 900K Americans out of poverty … but it would also wipe out nearly 1.5 million jobs by 2025.

MSNBC host Chris Jansing cornered White House economic advisor Jared Bernstein on the CBO report during an interview aired on Monday, February 8. Bernstein responded the good news is about 27 million Americans will receive a wage increase due to the rise in minimum wage. He believes people tend to focus too much on the negative impact of the proposal.

Really? Expressing concern over the loss of roughly 1.5 million jobs focuses on one of the “big negatives?” It’s a good thing Jansing didn’t bring up the expected adverse impacts on small businesses, the nation’s economy and the deficit.
