NEW RECORD: Border Activity Skyrockets
(RepublicanNews.org) – Many Americans expected the flow of migrants across the border to surge after President Joe Biden stepped into office. The US obviously wasn’t ready for the first wave; it led to an unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Texas. Now, officials expect the flow to increase once again as Title 42 comes to an end. In fact, it’s already beginning to happen.
Border patrol agents are overwhelmed by record numbers of encounters at our border, and with the ending of Title 42, it'll only get worse.

Agents with Border Patrol are already facing an unmanageable surge in migrants. A CBP filing from May 17 claims there were almost 235,000 encounters in April alone — the highest number ever witnessed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in its history.
US authorities removed 113,248 migrants and allowed another 117,989 entry into the US. Of those released, it processed 98,908 under the Trump-era Title 42. However, the legislation is currently set to end on May 23 if the Louisiana Federal Court declines to rule otherwise.
There are serious questions about CBP’s ability to handle the expected surge after Title 42 culminates; they can’t even handle the current situation. Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd told Fox News that the situation is “only going to get worse.” He believes ending the legislation will bring about “serious trouble.”
Will Biden decide it’s best to not end the policy?
