CBS Employee Becomes Latest Whistleblower With Project Veritas

( – Detroit weather reporter April Moss interrupted her June 20 show on air to announce that she would be sitting down for an interview with Project Veritas, an investigative journalism organization, to discuss discriminatory practices at CBS-62.

On June 22, Project Veritas posted the interview on Twitter. Moss provided a behind-the-scenes look at CBS-62’s COVID-19 coverage, editorial double standards, and how corporate interests have overridden the station’s duty to report the news to the public honestly.

Moss explained the decline of “true journalism” is dangerous because the mainstream media shapes the public’s mindset about important issues. She also detailed routine workplace discrimination at the hands of CBS management to include “segregating coworkers” based on assumptions regarding their health.

Conservative political activist James O’Keefe founded Project Veritas in 2011. Its purpose is to investigate and expose corruption, fraud, and other misconduct in the public and private sectors to help create a more transparent and ethical society. The organization’s work has taken on increased momentum with the rise of so-called “woke America” and “cancel culture,” led largely by the mainstream media.

This interview marks the second time a journalist came forward to detail allegations regarding media coverage of the coronavirus. Former Fox 26 reporter Ivory Hecker spoke with Project Veritas last week about her concern that network executives were burying coronavirus-related stories. Both Heckler and Moss lost their jobs.

CBS-62 issued a statement calling the allegations “completely false” and noting that “Ms. Moss is no longer with our station.”
