(RepublicanNews.org) – Donald Trump has remained relatively tight-lipped about his political future. He’s hinted at the possibility of running for a second term in 2024 but hasn’t directly answered when asked about the possibility. So far, no other Republicans have announced their intention to run. However, that might be changing soon.
On April 20, Axios reported that New Jersey’s former Gov. Chris Christie “is seriously considering” a White House bid in 2024. Axios spoke with three individuals “familiar” with Christie’s thinking who confirmed his interest.
🚨 SCOOP: Chris Christie is seriously considering running for president in 2024.
He's told friends he'd be the only person in the 2024 field with executive experience who has run a presidential race before — a clear shot at Gov. Ron DeSantis. https://t.co/CA9HdnP8KE

Like Trump, Christie hasn’t given a direct answer. However, late last year, he told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt he would not rule out the possibility of running against Trump in 2024.
Christie brings a lot to the table as a potential candidate. He has eight years of executive experience as New Jersey’s governor. He campaigned for George HW Bush and George W. Bush, served for six years as US Attorney for New Jersey, and eight months as the chair of Trump’s Opioid and Drug Abuse Commission, until it was shut down.
