(RepublicanNews.org) – Accountability for politicians accused of sexual assault appears to differ depending on their party affiliation. Missouri’s former Republican Gov. Eric Greitens resigned amid allegations of misconduct. Numerous other Republican state-level legislators resigned after being accused of misconduct, like Arizona Rep. Dan Shooter and Florida Sen. Jack Latvala.
On the flip side, prominent Democratic politicians like New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham of New Mexico refuse to resign or be held accountable despite facing accusations of sexual harassment.
Can you even imagine if @GovRonDeSantis had to pay 65K to a staffer for grabbing their genitalia? The press would be apocalyptic. It would lead every broadcast. But Michelle Lujan Grisham is a Dem so she’s allowed any behavior

On April 17, National File reported that recently filed financial documents revealed that Grisham’s campaign paid at least $62,500 to a law firm representing James Hallinan, a former Grisham male staffer, who accused her of sexual assault. According to him, Grisham grabbed his crotch and mocked him during her 2018 campaign.
Hallinan posted a tweet in late December 2019 in response to the alleged incident. As he stated, Gov. Grisham “is not above the law for her… abuse of employees.” Perhaps someone should remind state ethics officials.
