DeSantis Hatches PERFECT Plot – Biden’s IRS Scheme Destroyed
(RepublicanNews.org) – When President Biden authorized the Internal Revenue Service to recruit 87,000 new agents last month, many Conservatives became alarmed. They feared a new wave of audits would slam ordinary Americans, already battered by the cost of living crisis. Now, a senior Republican has come up with a great idea to keep those new agents busy without harassing hard-pressed workers.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) has strongly criticized Biden’s decision to more than double the number of IRS agents. On August 30, he warned the agency would use those agents to audit ordinary Americans, people who don’t have the tax advisers and legal backup to withstand an audit. He pointed out that when Congress voted for the legislation allowing the hirings, it had the opportunity to add an amendment to prevent the new agents from going after anyone earning less than $400,000 a year, but Democrats voted it down. Still, the Florida governor has another plan.

DeSantis suggested the new agents could audit every legislator who voted for Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, which authorized an extra $80 billion for the IRS budget. As reported by the Washington Examiner, the crowd at the Fort Pierce, Florida, rally where the governor made the recommendation laughed and cheered as the governor said everyone who backed the bill “should be required” to undergo an annual IRS audit.
