Drug Smugglers Discovered in Unlikely Place

Drug Smugglers Discovered in Unlikely Place

(RepublicanNews.org) – America finds itself in an unprecedented immigration crisis in the wake of Joe Biden’s efforts to reverse former President Donald Trump’s border security measures. Tens of thousands of illegal migrants have flooded across the nation’s southern border, leading to some unusual problems.

On Saturday, May 1, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents discovered and arrested two migrants hiding under a tree at Barry M. Goldwater Range, a US Air Force bombing range located in the southwestern corner of Arizona.

Border Patrol agents searched the area and discovered three backpacks containing 120 pounds of methamphetamines with an estimated street value of about $216,000. The following day, CBP agents found three more drug dealers in nearby Sentinel, Arizona. They carried backpacks holding another 110 pounds of methamphetamine valued at nearly $200,000.

Then, on Monday, agents discovered an additional two groups of migrant drug smugglers carrying a total of 304 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of roughly $547,000.

Ironically, the arrests may have saved the migrants’ lives. Temperatures often exceed 100 degrees at Goldwater Range, and Border Patrol agents have conducted several search and rescue operations in the area for years.
