Fauci Catches COVID-19, Is Only Mildly Ill

Fauci Finally Gets What’s Coming For Him

(RepublicanNews.org) – Dr. Anthony Fauci, a well-known face of the government’s pandemic response and the leader of the White House COVID Response Team, has tested positive for COVID-19. According to a National Institutes of Health (NIH) statement, the infectious diseases expert is doing relatively well and will work from home for the time being.

Dr. Fauci, who also serves as Chief Medical Officer to President Joe Biden and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), was apparently vaccinated and had received at least two booster shots when he contracted the illness. The doctor intends to follow CDC guidelines on treating and managing the infection. He won’t return to work in person until testing negative for the virus.

At 81, Dr. Fauci technically meets the criteria of a “high-risk” patient, meaning that he is at risk of developing further complications from COVID-19. Thus far, most reports suggest that the medical advisor was only suffering from mild symptoms, at least as of the time this article was written.

The fact that one of the country’s best-known vaccine and mandate advocates can test positive for the virus proves that even those who prepare and get vaccinated aren’t completely safe from infection. Anyone who is exposed, even if they are fully boosted, can contract it; the virus and its highly contagious variants continue to spread in most regions.
