(RepublicanNews.org) – James O’Keefe and members tied to the Conservative group Project Veritas are part of a federal investigation involving an allegedly stolen diary belonging to President Joe Biden’s youngest daughter, Ashley Biden. According to the New York Times, an FBI spokesperson confirmed a grand jury issued a subpoena to search the homes of present and past Project Veritas employees for the journal.
The Conservative group is well known for breaking stories and exposing corruption, dishonesty, and other misconduct by public and private institutions. They often use hidden cameras and false identities to reveal liberal biases.
According to O’Keefe, “tipsters” approached the organization late last year claiming to have Ashley Biden’s diary. They told him they found the journal, which contains “explosive allegations” about her father, in a hotel room she stayed in. Joe Biden was the Democratic presidential nominee at the time.
Our colleague Paul Calli & James O’Keefe share the disturbing story of the predawn raid on an American journalist who DIDN’T publish a story: Project Veritas' James O'Keefe speaks out after FBI raided home: 'This is an attack on the First Amendment'https://t.co/DfaocliUSP

Joined by his lawyer during an interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity, O’Keefe said Project Veritas attempted to return the diary to a lawyer representing Ashley Biden. When that failed, they instead gave it to the police. He feels they acted responsibly and practiced ethical journalism throughout the process.
O’Keefe told Sean Hannity he was “in a state of shock” as FBI agents ransacked his apartment for over two hours in the early morning hours of November 6. He warned other journalists to stand up against these types of attacks by the government, saying, “This is an attack on the First Amendment by the Department of Justice. If they can do this to me, they can do it to any journalist.”
During the interview, O’Keefe described how FBI agents raided his apartment. He said he went to his door, where 10 FBI agents met him with a battering ram and blinding white lights. They immediately handcuffed him and threw him against the hallway wall.
O’Keefe also said the FBI took two of his phones containing private information regarding news sources involving other stories, reporters’ notes, and confidential donor information during the raid.
Both O’Keefe and Project Veritas are claiming the raid, initiated by the Department of Justice and United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, is nothing more than a political move against the organization. They’re vowing to fight back.
