Kari Lake Thanks Liz Cheney After Anti-Endorsement Backfires

(RepublicanNews.org) – Earlier this year, Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) lost her reelection bid to a candidate the former president endorsed. Since then, the alleged RINO has asserted she will do everything in her power to ensure Donald Trump doesn’t get a second term. Part of her effort has come in the form of endorsing Democrats while blasting members of her own party, such as Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake (R) who went as far as thanking Cheney for her “anti-endorsement.”

The Arizona Republican wrote a letter to and thanked the congresswoman for the generous contributions to her campaign, declaring Cheney’s anti-endorsement didn’t go the way the Wyoming Republican wanted. Lake claimed the anti-endorsement significantly boosted her campaign. She explained her team believes she’ll be up another 10 points because of it, claiming the Cheney anti-endorsement is the “gift that keeps on giving.”

Lake’s response comes after the congresswoman created a political ad urging the people of Arizona to vote against her and the Republican candidate for Arizona’s Secretary of State. The race between Lake and her opponent, Katie Hobbs, who is currently serving as the secretary of state, has been a close one. The Republican recently gained the lead and is ahead by around 3% according to FiveThirtyEight. However, if what Lake says about Cheney’s anti-endorsement, the gubernatorial candidate could pull further ahead just days before Americans head to the ballot box and cast their votes in the 2022 midterms.
