(RepublicanNews.org) – Tensions remain high in the nation’s capital in the wake of the transition of power to the Democrats resulting from the 2020 elections. Things have gotten so bad that partisan wrangling appears to have infected some members of the nation’s armed services.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) found herself at the center of attention when Guam’s National Guard members visited her office on Monday, March 15.
Greene mistakenly identified Guam as a foreign territory while speaking at the annual CPAC event in February. Guam’s Congressional Delegate, Michael San Nicolas, a Democrat, led the troops to Greene’s office in an apparent effort to embarrass her.
Today, I sent the following letter to General Hokanson, Chief of the National Guard Bureau, and Secretary of Defense Austin to express my concerns with the politicization of our military. pic.twitter.com/gah7E5hjUQ

Greene wasn’t at her office, but she had plenty to say about the stunt, calling it “political theater” in a tweet. She accused Democrats of “disrespecting our military” by using them to create unnecessary “drama” on Capitol Hill. She also sent a letter to high-ranking defense officials expressing her concerns regarding the “politicization” of the nation’s military.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) had similar complaints about the military, accusing them of promoting left-wing ideology after several military leaders lashed out at Fox News host Tucker Carlson last week. As Sen. Cruz concluded, it’s improper for the military to mobilize for political purposes.
