Hunter Biden Threatened Chinese By Dropping Joe’s Name

(RepublicanNews.org) – Documents released on June 22nd show that Hunter Biden threatened his Chinese business connection by dropping the words “my father” in a 2017 WhatsApp text message. In May, an IRS whistleblower confirmed these revelations to the House Ways and Means Committee.

Gary Shapley, the whistleblower, told legislators that some of Biden’s text messages were retrieved as the result of a 2018 IRS investigation into a foreign online pornography outlet. The initial probe yielded a secondary investigation into Hunter Biden which was called “Sportsman.”

President Biden has claimed on multiple occasions to know nothing about his son’s business dealings. In 2019, Biden responded to a reporter’s question about those alleged instances by saying, “I’ve never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”

In 2022, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki reiterated Biden’s position by confirming the President knew nothing about Hunter’s business activities.

In Hunter Biden’s 2017 WhatsApp message, he indicates to the Chinese businessman that he and his father are “sitting here” and that “we” want answers as to why an obligation “has not been fulfilled.” Hunter Biden goes on to demand an immediate resolution to the issue and says that if one isn’t reached, he will make sure that both his father and all of his father’s associates will “forever hold a grudge.”

Once prosecutors had these messages in hand, Shapley alleges they declined to properly look into them. This behavior was amplified once Joe Biden became the 2020 Democratic nominee for President. Shapley said investigators wanted to search a Biden residence at one point, but the Assistant U.S. Attorney was more concerned with political “optics” than with the evidence likely to be uncovered there. The DOJ was also unlikely to approve search warrants, according to Shapley.

Shapley further said that David Weiss, the U.S. Attorney who led the investigation into Hunter Biden, congratulated his IRS team in a 2020 meeting for keeping the investigation a “secret.”
