Iran Holds Fresh Military Drill to Pressure Joe Biden

( – President Donald Trump withdrew from the disastrous Iran nuclear deal and reintroduced harsh economic sanctions on the terrorist state on May 8, 2019. Former President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden brokered the deal with other permanent members of the United Nations Security Council in 2015.

Seeing an opportunity with the change in power in the United States, Iran recently began a series of military exercises intended to pressure Joe Biden to return to the agreement. For instance, it conducted a short-range missile drill in the Gulf of Oman last week, followed up on January 15 by another drill complete with kamikaze drones, resembling its attacks on Saudi Arabia in 2019.

Most recently, Iran began conducting military exercises along the Gulf of Oman’s coastline using ground forces on January 19, hours before the slated presidential inauguration ceremony in Washington, DC.

It appears Iranian efforts to influence the incoming Biden administration may already be paying off for them. Breitbart News reported that Biden’s team has already begun holding quiet talks with Tehran to re-enter the agreement. We will keep you informed as this story continues to unfold.
