Joe Biden Said He Would Wait for Certified Results Before Declaring Victory - He Didn't

(RepublicanNews.org) – Democratic nominee Joe Biden finds himself the centerpiece of a mounting set of contradictions as the nation waits for the final vote count for the November 3 presidential election. This is nothing new to leftists, but Biden’s interpretation of the truth leads to questions regarding his honesty.

A perfect example of his dishonesty can be found during the first presidential debate when moderator Chris Wallace asked Biden if he would promise to hold off on declaring victory until the election results were “certified.” Biden answered in the affirmative. However, on November 7, he released a statement and a midday tweet declaring victory.

Nearly a full week later, the ballot count continues in several states, with only a handful of states certifying the results. Additionally, despite Biden’s claim to victory, the Electoral College has the sole authority to declare the winner, which won’t happen until December 14, 2020.

Whatever happens next month, the fact remains Biden gave his word to America that he wouldn’t prematurely declare victory, and he broke that vow.
