(RepublicanNews.org) – While attending a Democrat fundraiser this week, President Biden needled former President Donald Trump over his election loss in 2020, joking that even Fox admits that Biden won.
Biden was speaking at a small fundraiser of about 40 people held at a private residence on Monday night when he brought up the revelations from the defamation lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems against the Fox News channel and several of its prominent hosts.
He joked, “Even Fox News is admitting I won!”
It was reported last month that an almost 200-page court filing submitted by Dominion included emails, texts, and other private communications from Fox News employees casting doubt on the Trump team’s claims that Dominion’s voting machines flipped votes from Trump to Biden during the 2020 election.
In one text message exchange, host Tucker Carlson told one of his producers that the election did not have “enough fraud” to alter the outcome. In another text, Carlson said attorney Sidney Powell was “lying.” And in a text message on January 6th, Carlson described Trump as a “demonic force” and a “destroyer.”
“The Five” co-host Dana Perino described the allegations against Dominion as “total bs,” “nonsense,” and “insane.”
During Monday’s fundraiser, Biden also boasted that he got it right when he said Democrats would do well in the 2022 Midterms, claiming that the voters are “genuinely worried” about democracy. He claimed that his dark, vitriolic speech in Philadelphia last September was the reason Democrats “only lost by five votes” in the House.
Republicans hold a 9-seat majority, not a 5-seat majority.
During his remarks, the president also mocked Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene for heckling him during his State of the Union Address. He pointed out that the last time a member of the House shouted “liar” at the president, he got censured for it.
Biden also boasted that he tricked the Republicans in the chamber to agree with him that Social Security and Medicare should not be cut.
The private fundraiser was expected to raise $1 million for the Democratic Victory Fund and the DNC, according to the White House.
