Heroic K-9 Hunts Down And CAPTURES Dangerous Suspect
(RepublicanNews.org) – Dogs have proven themselves to be a critical part of the military and law enforcement — and with good reason. Consider the case of a Florida man who recently led police on a lengthy chase. The suspect quickly learned that he might be able to outrun officers, but he couldn’t escape the K-9 on his trail.

Authorities in Ocala, Florida and Marion County recently attributed the arrest of 35-year-old Dale Shrewsbury to Jet, a K-9 with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The dog bravely chased the perp down and held him until police could arrest the man. During that time, the suspect screamed in agony to have the dog release him. Jet’s heroic actions brought to an end a 21-minute pursuit that had begun after Shrewsbury stole a car, drove recklessly on the road and through people’s yards and fences, and damaged a Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission vehicle.
The suspect had taken the car about an hour before leading police on the dramatic chase. Officers with the Ocala Police Department conducted a traffic stop, but Shrewsbury fled to avoid arrest. Of course, that plan didn’t pan out for him thanks to the actions of Jet.
According to Fox13, Shrewsbury already has an extensive criminal record, with 13 arrests through Marion County Sheriff’s Office since 2006. Now, he can add to his rap sheet five counts of fleeing the scene of an accident involving property damage, aggravated fleeing and eluding, auto theft, and his fourth charge of driving with a suspended license.
