Longtime Trump Aide Kellyanne Conway Resigns

(RepublicanNews.org) – Senior White House Advisor Kellyanne Conway stunned the political world with the news that she was “transitioning” out of public life at the end of the month.

Conway, one of President Trump’s most visible defenders, informed the President of her decision to resign during an Oval Office meeting Sunday night, August 24, 2020.

Her husband, George Conway III, an outspoken Trump critic, announced he was taking a break from Twitter and “withdrawing” from The Lincoln Project, a group of renegade Republicans hellbent on defeating the President in November.

Conway issued a public statement expressing her gratitude to the President and First Lady. Describing her experience working for the Trump administration as “humbling,” she explained that she and her husband were making the changes to focus on their four children.

Breitbart News confirmed with an unnamed White House official that Conway will still speak at the Republican National Convention on August 26, 2020.

Conway was one of the President’s longest-lasting aides and is sure to be missed by the administration and the media members who have come to know her.
