World Professional Association for Transgender Health Releases Terrifying New Guidelines
(RepublicanNews.org) – The world medical organization for sex change surgeons has released new guidelines that allow more operations on children. Alarmingly, the move hasn’t been triggered by new evidence or medical research. It’s all about protecting doctors.

On September 6 the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) removed minimum ages for beginning so-called “gender affirming treatments” — genital surgery or puberty-blocking drugs — from its professional guidelines. This was a significant move, because WPATH is the leading organization that specializes in transgender surgery and treatments. Its guidelines are commonly used in US, British, and Canadian hospitals. Up to now the group has advised that hormonal intervention should start at 14, genital surgery at 17 and breast removal at 15. Now, all these limits are gone.
Allowing doctors to carry out irreversible surgery or hormone therapy on children of any age is bad enough, but it gets worse. WPATH has admitted that there was no medical justification for changing the rules. Instead, members were worried that doctors who’ve ignored the guidelines could be sued for malpractice.
So, instead of encouraging doctors to follow the rules, the group just abolished them. Does this sound like an organization that’s really worried about the health of its patients?
