Netflix Cancellations Up 800% After “Cuties” Scandal

Netflix Cancellations Up 800% After

( – Conservatives have warned the country about the film industry’s decadent left-leanings for decades. It appears they might have realized their worst nightmares in September, with online streaming giant Netflix’s decision to run the controversial child exploitation film “Cuties.”

Netflix released “Cuties” on September 6, and the outcry was swift. As of October 24, reporting showed the New York data research company YipitData determined Netflix’s September cancellations hit roughly 800% of those reported in August.

Netflix tried to downplay the drop, claiming they don’t focus on short-term figures regarding subscriptions. However, the company’s problems may have only just begun.

For example, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) referred the matter to the Department of Justice for investigation. The attorneys general of four states asked Netflix to cancel the film’s listing in its programming. Additionally, on September 23, a grand jury from Tyler Country, Texas, returned a criminal indictment against Netflix for airing “Cuties” for the “promotion of lewd visual material depicting a child.”

Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) may have put it best when he told members of the media, “Cuties is child porn,” adding that “Netflix should be prosecuted” for airing the film on their service.
