Parents Outraged by Dangerous Discovery in Sacramento Park

(RepublicanNews.org) – The ongoing homeless epidemic in Democrat-controlled California has reached a new level of depravity. Uncapped needles associated with intravenous drug use have been found on a public baby-changing station at Sacramento’s Stanford Park. Local parents are enraged.

Local social advocate Amy Gardner said that the issue of abandoned needles has grown so bad residents themselves are forced to clean the three bathrooms on the park premises. Gardner said their efforts are meant to keep children from stabbing “themselves inadvertently” and added that the situation is “very frightening.”

Stanford Park alone contains over 100 homeless residents. Gardner conveyed that neighbors in the area have demanded the city take action, but that officials have done nothing.

The community advocate said the city’s lack of action has led her to carry a container in her car strictly for the purpose of picking up used needles. She said the exposed sharps are found everywhere in the area and not limited only to the bathrooms.

John Morales, a nearby neighbor, confirmed Gardner’s assertion and said that games routinely have to be stopped so dirty needles can be disposed of.

Morales said the open drug use is coupled with an extreme rise in “lawlessness” in the area. The resident said he has dealt with two instances of homeless residents trespassing into his neighbor’s house.

In June, city officials rolled out an online form that allowed residents to report issues related to homelessness and required the police to respond within 20 days. Morales said he attempted to submit a ticket but was met with a message from the city that said their obligations for the year had been met. Many other residents reported receiving the same response.

Sacramento officials reported collecting almost 25,000 needles throughout the city in the last year. City leaders responded to questions about the needle and homeless issues by saying that as per California law, authorities cannot forcibly remove the homeless.
