(RepublicanNews.org) – Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden continued announcing picks for his cabinet, although Electoral College members won’t cast their votes to determine the election’s official outcome until December 14. Biden’s nominee to head up the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) caught the attention of Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) during a Fox News interview aired on November 25.
According to Cotton, Alejandro Mayorkas reportedly sold Green Cards to Chinese investors connected to leading Democrats nearly six years ago while serving as the Director of the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Continuing, Cotton reminded Americans of a DHS Inspector General (IG) report published on March 24, 2015, detailing the allegations.
Alejandro Mayorkas was found by Barack Obama’s Inspector General to be guilty of selling Green Cards to Chinese nationals on behalf of rich, democratic donors.

The IG’s office rebuked Mayorkas in its final report for interfering in several EB-5 visa matters, a program allowing some foreign investors to apply for a green card. In one instance, he acted on behalf of former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV). He also intervened on behalf of a company connected to the former DNC Chair Terry McAuliffe.
Sen. Cotton concluded Mayorkas’ proven history of misconduct disqualifies him from consideration to lead the Department of Homeland Security and indicated his nomination would be opposed by Republican senators.
