Zelenskyy Begs Biden To Visit Ukraine, Gets a Surprise Visit From Pelosi Instead
(RepublicanNews.org) – The war in Ukraine continues. As a result, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has asked President Biden to visit him in Kyiv in a show of solidarity. Biden has thus far refused or ignored all such requests and continues to do so even now. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, however, made her own pilgrimage to the besieged country.

A statement from Pelosi indicates that her Congressional Delegation made the trip to Ukraine in an effort to showcase America’s willingness to stand with the country during its time of need. The House Speaker instantly became the highest-ranking US official to visit Kyiv since the attacks first began.
Pelosi said the President of Ukraine made his country’s needs well-known — including increased security as well as humanitarian and economic aid. According to Breitbart, Zelenskyy responded by telling the House Speaker Ukraine would win with America’s assistance. Pelosi confirmed that the US would remain by the country’s side until that time.
Other Democrats, including Representatives Adam Schiff (D-CA), Jim McGovern (D-MA), Bill Keating (D-MA), Barbara Lee (D-CA), Jason Crow (D-CO), and Gregory Meeks (D-NY) joined Pelosi in her trip to Ukraine. While the House Speaker is technically a high-ranking US official who stands directly behind Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential line, some people still question why Biden hasn’t stepped up. Perhaps Zelenskyy wants the President himself to appear in a bid to inspire Ukrainians.
