Luxury Brand Salutes American Patriotism In The BEST Way Possible

(RepublicanNews.org) – Porsche demands recognition as one of the biggest names in the car world. Despite being a German company, the performance car manufacturer recently decided to salute America with a limited edition release that pays homage to the USA in a spectacular way.

The new 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America celebrates the 70th anniversary of their 1953 356 America Roadster while also bringing something new to the table.

Back in 1953, Porsche specifically designed the 356 for the American market after receiving a request from renowned importer Max Hoffman. The car sported an aluminum body and a four-cylinder boxer engine capable of cranking out 70 horsepower. While it only sold 17 units in 1953, those vehicles are each now worth around $4 million.

Fast forward 70 years to 2022. The German car manufacturer is now busy creating the 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America. This limited edition car sports an Azure Blue 356 paint job, a homage to the color offered on the 356, and white spoke wheels with a Guards Red ring outline.

Red seat belts and red and white stitching command attention on the inside. The armrest has the word “America” embossed on it to match the “America” decals above the car’s rocker panels. The new Roadster also boasts more power than the 356, boasting 473 horsepower from a flat-six-cylinder engine paired with a 7-speed manual transmission.

The 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America starts at just above $186,000. Unfortunately, it’ll still be hard for even the most elite drivers to access; Porsche is only producing 100 of them for the US market.
