(RepublicanNews.org) – President Biden has had a terrible time nominating people to serve in his administration. Neera Tanden, his nominee to head up the Office of Management and Budget, withdrew her name from consideration amid an eruption of controversy. Health and Human Services nominee Xavier Becerra barely squeaked through the confirmation process.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) shredded Kristen Clarke, Biden’s nominee for Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, during her confirmation hearing on April 14.
WATCH: Sen. Ted Cruz to Kristen Clarke, Biden's pick for Asst AG for Civil Rights: "You just said you don't support cutting funds from police. I find that astonishing & … not credible … 3 paragraphs in your article, you begin with the words 'We must invest less in police.'" pic.twitter.com/w7QlpkSNCF

He asked her about an op-ed she wrote for Newsweek last year supporting calls to strip funding from the police. Clarke responded that she didn’t support defunding the police. Cruz questioned her response considering what she wrote in her opinion piece.
She mentioned investing less in the police several times in that article, and Cruz called her out for her absurd reversal less than a year later at her hearing. She also wrote that “some parts of police budgets… should be eliminated immediately.”
So what does Clarke actually believe? Patriots deserve to know what she truly thinks before handing her a cushy Washington job.
