(RepublicanNews.org) – It’s been nearly six months since the 2020 presidential election, and controversy continues to rage regarding its legitimacy. Auditors continue their review of ballots and voting machines in multiple states. Yet, Democrats continue to push back against the creation of new common-sense election laws.
President Joe Biden released a statement on May 29 denouncing election bills in Georgia, Florida, and Texas. He accused legislators in those states of mounting an “assault” on American democracy by attacking citizens’ “sacred right to vote.”
NEW: @POTUS statement denouncing Texas SB7 voter suppression bill.
“And I continue to call on all Americans, of every party and persuasion, to stand up for our democracy and protect the right to vote and the integrity of our elections.”https://t.co/Q6q7mfcqMV

White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre echoed that sentiment in a June 1 press briefing conducted aboard Air Force One.
Reporters asked her about a proposed Texas election law, SB7, temporarily blocked by state Democrats over the weekend. She said it was “part of a concerted attack” on democracy promoted in several state assemblies based on “disproven lies” regarding the 2020 election results.
Serious questions continue to surround the 2020 election, as evidenced by legislative efforts in the states to secure future elections and combative statements from the Biden administration. Why are they so afraid of increasing election security and integrity?
