(RepublicanNews.org) – Twitter permanently banned Donald Trump on January 8, reportedly for his alleged role in the January 6 attack on the nation’s capital. The platform defended the decision, saying it did so “due to the risk of further incitement of violence.” However, it hypocritically turns a blind eye when a Democrat does something worse.
On April 17, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) flew to Minnesota to join demonstrations over the shooting death of Daunte Wright by police officers. The incident took place about 10 miles from the courthouse, where former police officer Derek Chauvin is standing trial for killing George Floyd.
Waters was captured on video speaking to reporters, telling them protesters needed to “stay in the street” and “get more confrontational” if the jury acquits Chauvin of murder. She added, “We’ve got to make sure [the authorities] know we mean business.”

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) spoke out about the incident on his Twitter account, stating point-blank that Waters was “inciting violence.” Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) accused Waters of “trying to incite a riot” on her Twitter feed.
Apparently, it’s okay to suspend a sitting president based on unproven rumors — but it’s perfectly fine to ignore a member of Congress inciting a riot with the cameras rolling.
