(RepublicanNews.org) – Former President Donald Trump has remained relatively quiet since leaving office on January 20. That effort was deliberate, according to his former deputy assistant, Sebastian Gorka. In his opinion, Trump needed to “disappear for a while” in the wake of the January 6 Capitol riots.
However, Gorka said, all that changed during a wide-reaching interview with Sky News, aired on February 24. According to him, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) “Trump derangement syndrome” and Democrats’ failed impeachment effort opened the door to the former president’s immediate re-entry into the political arena.
Gorka cited recent examples of Trump’s move back into politics. For instance, in late January, he established the Office of the 45th President. He also started granting interviews since the death of conservative icon Rush Limbaugh and he’ll speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Sunday, February 28.
As Gorka concluded, “Donald Trump is back” and remains the conservative movement’s “kingmaker.” No one else can spark the same enthusiasm as Trump.
