(RepublicanNews.org) – The father of 31-year-old Maxwell Anderson, who stands accused of murdering 19-year-old Sade Robinson, released a statement expressing his “shock” over Robinson’s death and “deepest sympathy” for her family. Steve Anderson made the statement through his son’s attorney on Thursday, April 18th, just six days after his bartender son was charged with the Wisconsin College student’s murder and dismemberment.
Robinson was reported missing on April 1st by her friend after she had failed to turn up to work or answer phone calls. According to phone records, Robinson and Anderson had talked about meeting at the bar where Anderson worked on the night that Robinson disappeared. An eyewitness reported seeing the two together in the bar, and also claimed that Anderson referred to the meeting as a “first date.”
On the same day that Robinson was reported missing, a leg believed to be hers was discovered in Cudahy, at Warnimont Park. On the same day, her car, with her phone and clothes inside, was found engulfed in flames. More human remains were found not far from the car on April 6th, although those are yet to be formally identified. On April 4th, Anderson’s home was searched by authorities and was found to have blood on his bedding and on the walls that lead to his basement. Upon searching the basement, police found several bottles of gasoline. Anderson was arrested later that day after a traffic stop.
A human torso and arm were recovered by police on a beach near Lake Michigan on Thursday, April 18th, which although have not been officially identified are believed by authorities to belong to Robinson. Milwaukee County Sherriff Denita Ball told the press that the search for Robinson’s remains continues along with the rest of the investigation. Ball added that Milwaukee investigators were focused on getting “justice for the victim”. She also confirmed that there was no evidence of victims other than Robinson in this particular case.
