Democrat Coup Suspected, Biden Set Up for Failure at Debate

(RepublicanNews.org) – Was President Joe Biden ousted by a coup from within the Democratic Party? That is what some people believe may have happened leading up to the president’s decision to drop out of the 2024 race and to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris to replace him as the party’s presumptive nominee to take on former President Donald Trump.

The New York Post published a story on Tuesday, July 23rd, about an alleged coup to remove Biden from the race. A source claiming to be close to the Biden family told reporters that a “palace coup” took place behind the scenes to push Biden out and insert Harris in his place. Since anointing her, Harris claims she “earned” her spot in a recent statement, after only two days of Biden stepping aside and merely calling delegates for support.

The insider said Biden seemed angry, paranoid, and frustrated as many in the Democratic elite pressured him to leave the contest and pass the torch. Reportedly among them were former President Barack Obama, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Biden’s exit seemed sudden to most Americans, although not entirely unexpected as the president’s mental acuity and physical health were clearly in decline. Despite this, Biden previously refused to drop out, and even his staff were blindsided by the decision, not receiving notice of the announcement until a minute before it was posted.

The source also claimed that the first presidential debate on June 27th, during which Biden dropped the ball against former President Donald Trump, was a set-up and part of the “elaborate” plan to remove the president from the contest. The source claims the point of the set-up was “to convince Democrats” to abandon Biden, and calls immediately followed the debate for him to step aside.

Going against those calls, Biden adamantly maintained he would move forward and continue running, even as some began to float the idea of invoking the 25th Amendment, something that very well could still happen between now and January 2025. And even though Biden endorsed Harris after dropping out, the anonymous source claims her candidacy isn’t a done deal and that although names are being considered.
