(RepublicanNews.org) – A House Judiciary subcommittee held a hearing last week shining a spotlight on the Biden administration’s excessive “politicization” of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) during the pandemic to fast-track vaccinations for children prior to proper safety testing.
The subcommittee convened on Wednesday, June 26th, for a hearing about the “administrative state response” to the pandemic by the Biden administration.
Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, subcommittee chairman, kicked off the hearing by sharing past testimony from former FDA vaccine office director Dr. Marion Gruber about conversations between herself and top vaccine regulator Dr. Peter Marks regarding the vaccine’s efficacy in children. Massie clarified that Marks disregarded suggestions by Gruber for more trial testing in the younger demographic, particularly male children between the ages of 12 and 17.
The senator explained to the committee how, instead of giving developers more time, Marks compressed the vaccine approval schedule as data already began to indicate that a higher risk of developing myocarditis and pericarditis could be associated with the injections. Massie also explained how Marks fired “top officials who had been there over 30 years” when they told him the schedule could not be compressed and more time was needed.
Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio also opened up another line of questioning about the increase in vaccine hesitancy amongst Americans since the pandemic mandates. Dr. Jordan Vaughn replied that people started to question vaccines in general because the government “told them one thing” while in many cases the “opposite” took place, meaning that sometimes the vaccinated either still got sick or experienced unpleasant side effects from the shots.
Jordan agreed that the inaccurate information given by the government made the issue “political” and caused vaccine hesitancy. Vaughn’s testimony detailed his experience with over 2,000 patients who suffered complications from the injections, including military service members, destroying their “faith in medicine and public health.”
Aaron Siri, an expert in litigation related to vaccine injuries, also testified about his handling of multiple lawsuits related to the newest ones from the 2020 pandemic.
