Kamala: Ready for Presidency or the Death of Biden’s Campaign?

(RepublicanNews.org) – In a recent interview, Vice President Kamala Harris said that she is “ready” to step into the role of commander-in-chief amid rising concerns about President Joe Biden’s age, health, and cognitive abilities, despite having poll numbers even lower than his.

Harris was interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, which asked her about the concerns voters have regarding Biden’s age, and if that meant she would have to “convince them she is ready to serve.” Harris replied that she is, indeed, ready, and that “there’s no question” about it.

The interview took place on Tuesday, February 6th, a few days before the report by Special Counsel Robert Hurt about the president’s mishandling of classified information. The report concluded there was not sufficient evidence to pursue criminal charges, and also characterized Biden as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man” whose memory is fading, which is how Hur said the jury would perceive the president.

In other words, Biden isn’t mentally fit enough to stand trial, but Democrats believe he can serve another four years in the highest office in the country.

Harris defended Biden and criticized Hur’s report as “gratuitous, inaccurate and inappropriate.” She added that she believes comments about the president’s age are “clearly politically motivated.”

The latest polls show that Harris only has a 37.5% approval rating among voters, which is even lower than Biden, who is polling around 38.9%. She’s not only unpopular amongst the average American and Republicans, but even her own party doesn’t seem to pay her much attention.

Her excuses for Biden’s concerning signs of health decline aren’t enough to deter critics from pointing out that the president isn’t fit to serve.

The president keeps making basic factual errors in speeches, such as recently confusing the Egyptian president with the Mexican president. Biden also frequently has moments of apparent confusion, such as the latest incident in which he forgot where he was supposed to stand after introducing the King of Jordan to deliver a speech at the White House.
