Karine Jean-Pierre Melts Down When Pressed by White House Reporters

(RepublicanNews.org) – White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre uncharacteristically lost her cool at a recent press conference following reports about an expert on Parkinson’s disease visiting the president.

On Monday, July 8th, Red State published a story about Dr. Kevin Cannard, an expert on Parkinson’s disease, paying frequent visits to the White House. The report says the doctor showed up at least eight times over an eight-month period, beginning in July 2023.

The story comes as concerns are at an all-time high about Biden’s mental acuity and physical endurance following a disastrous first debate performance against former President Donald Trump. The journalist who wrote the report previously reported on Cannard in January, and said two other doctors attended that meeting, including a cardiologist; the White House brushed off the report.

During a press conference the same day of the report, the press secretary was questioned about it and attempted to dodge and evade those inquiries. She shot back at the press by claiming to “take great offense to” criticism from Ed O’Keefe, a CBS reporter, who accused Jean-Pierre of not answering his questions directly about the visits from the doctor and the president’s health. She defended her work on the job and said she comes out there “every day there’s a press briefing” and that her team does their best to give reporters “the information” they have “at the time.”

Jean-Pierre told the reporter that the White House understands and respects “freedom of the press” and tries to “respect” the media and hopes they will respect her in return. She noted that even when they sometimes disagree, she tries to do her best to answer their questions. Jean-Pierre admitted to sometimes getting it wrong and that sometimes she does not have the information requested.

The press secretary carried on as such for a few minutes, and in the process of explaining how well the White House press team does to answer questions, avoided actually answering the question at hand.
