The campaign spending breakdown is as follows: $4.5 million in Pennsylvania, $3 million in Michigan, $2.2 million in Wisconsin, $1.5 million in Arizona, and $375,000 in Nebraska’s crucial 2nd Congressional District. The organization aims to provide a compelling counternarrative to Trump’s legacy, leaning on testimonies from former Trump voters now supporting Vice President Harris. The campaign’s strategy includes targeting key media markets such as Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Grand Rapids, Detroit, Madison, Milwaukee, and Phoenix. The objective is clear: to motivate traditional GOP voters to reject Trump’s MAGA movement. This extensive outreach program builds on establishing “permission structures” for GOP voters to feel comfortable voting against Trump and, if necessary, supporting Democrats.

“We help elevate the voices of these disaffected Republicans and build a permission structure for many other traditional GOP voters to reject Donald Trump and his MAGA movement, even if it means voting for Democrats with whom they might have policy differences,” said Sarah Longwell, the executive director of Republican Voters Against Trump.

Campaign leader John Conway highlighted the critical approach: “Whenever they turn on their TVs or listen to the radio, or are driving around, we want them to see our billboards, we want them to hear our ads.” Conway’s strategic direction underscores the goal to make alternative Republican voices consistently visible and audible to swing voters. This persistent visibility aims to reshape voter perceptions and decision-making processes significantly.
