Snoop Dogg Offers Shocking Endorsement

( – Rapper and actor Snoop Dogg made a shocking about-face regarding former President Donald Trump, who he says he now has “nothing but love and respect” for.

Snoop Dogg was asked about the former president during an interview with The Times in the UK and said that the former president has done “nothing wrong” to him and “only great things” for the rapper and some of his friends. The remark represents a 180 for the rapper, who just a few years ago was engaged in a public feud with Trump.

According to The Independent, Snoop Dogg mentioned Trump’s pardon of Michael Harris, who co-founded Death Row Records with him. He added that he has “nothing but love and respect” for the former president.

Snoop Dogg’s feelings toward Trump represent a major change in the rapper and perhaps in the left-wing dominated entertainment industry. He used to be a major critic of Trump, along with many other rap artists, such as Kendrick Lamar. After Trump pardoned Harris, rapper Kodak Black, and a few others, many in the hip-hop world started to change their tune about him.

Back in 2017, Snoop Dogg sparked widespread backlash from Republicans and conservatives after the release of a music video for the song “Lavender,’ featuring the instrumental jazz fusion band BADBADNOTGOOD. In one of the scenes in the video, Snoop Dogg is shown pointing a pistol at a clown resembling the former president. When the rapper pulls the trigger, a red flag saying “BANG!” is revealed. Trump, whose lawyers described him as “shocked” by the video, demanded that Snoop Dogg apologize and also suggested he should be arrested.

Snoop Dogg also poked fun at Trump’s famous slogan, “Make America Great Again,” by releasing a song in 2017 called “Make America Crip Again.” The Crips are a criminal gang founded in Los Angeles, California, in 1969. He said the song was a commentary on urban black poverty and segregation in America.
